Application Process
We’ve simplified the application process for 2026! Follow these steps to apply for a scholarship through the Masonic Charity Foundation of New Jersey.
Step 1: Review Scholarship Details
Before applying, review our Scholarship Details page to find the scholarship(s) for which you qualify. Each scholarship has specific eligibility requirements, including:
- Academic requirements (GPA, SAT/ACT scores)
- Relationship to a New Jersey Freemason
- Field of study (for some scholarships)
- Type of institution (2-year, 4-year, trade/technical school)
Step 2: Gather Required Documents
Prepare the following documents before starting your application:
- High school or college transcripts
- SAT or ACT test scores
- Proof of relationship to a New Jersey Freemason (if applicable)
- Financial information (for need-based scholarships)
- Personal statement or essay (if required)
- Letters of recommendation (if required)
Step 3: Access the Application Portal
You can access our online application in two ways:
Step 4: Complete Your Application
Fill out all required fields in the application form. Be sure to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Upload all required documents
- Review your application before submitting
- Submit before the deadline
Step 5: Submit and Wait for Notification
After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. Our scholarship committee will review all applications and notify recipients according to the timeline for each scholarship program.
Important Information
Eligibility Requirements
For all scholarships, “relative” includes child, stepchild, niece, nephew, grandchild, or step-grandchild of a living or deceased Master Mason in good standing.
